Our Team
The Compass Montessori Education Foundation is led by a dedicated team of volunteer parents and staff members who share a common goal: supporting our students, teachers, and school community.
Each board member generously donates their time, talents, and experience to help organize events, build community partnerships, raise funds, and create opportunities that enrich the Montessori experience for every child at Compass.
Together, we believe that when families, educators, and the community work hand in hand, we can make a lasting difference.
Krista Estep
President
Krista is a parent of two Compass Montessori students and has served on the CMEF Board since 2022, including four years as Co-Treasurer. She works full time in finance, with a professional background in risk management and organizational governance. She originally joined the Foundation as a way to connect more deeply with the school community, build relationships with staff, and play an active role in her children’s education. Since then, she has become an active school volunteer, including serving as a class parent and volunteering in the classrooms.
Chelsea Coyle
Vice President
Chelsea is a parent of three Compass Montessori students and joined the PTA in 2019, later helping merge the PTA with CMEF. Building a strong, connected school community has always been central to her involvement. With a background in education, community-based programs, and Environmental Design, Chelsea brings over a decade of experience working with children and families. She enjoys volunteering in classrooms and around the school, helping create opportunities that strengthen and connect the Compass community.

Emily Madison
Treasurer
Emily joined the CMEF board when her son started at Compass in 2022. She is passionate about ensuring that high-quality public Montessori is accessible to all. In her professional life, Emily leads Montessori Collective, a nonprofit that helps publicly funded preschools in underserved communities transition to the Montessori approach. She views her role on the CMEF board as an extension of this work, supporting Compass in fostering a strong community and providing authentic Montessori education in a public setting. Emily is deeply grateful for the amazing staff at Compass and their dedication to supporting children.
Mima Del Valle
Member at Large
Mima Del Valle is a Compass Montessori parent and teacher. Mima joined CMEF in 2021 with the goal of advocating for teacher/staff needs within the foundation and building community. She co-chairs one of our school’s most anticipated fundraisers, Dance-a-Thon. Mima loves working with the youngest students in our community and traveling with her family during school breaks.
Cindy Hill
Member at Large
Cindy Hill is the special education teacher at Compass Wheat Ridge; she has been at Compass for the past 16 years. She has 3 children; all have graduated from Compass. Cindy joined the CMEF board in April 2026; prior to that, she served on the school accountability committee (SAC).
